Book Six Nights – Seventh Night is Free

The Appeal

Namibia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. From its long wild coastline, to the towering red sand dunes at Sossusvlei, to the legendary Etosha National Park (one of Africa’s largest) to the sublime empty hinterlands of Kaokoland, Namibia remains remarkably lightly touched by tourism.

Wilderness Safari operates some truly exquisite, unforgettable camps and lodges in this stunning country. Enjoy privileged access to the world’s highest Dunes – a landscape photographer’s paradise, traverse private reserve lands in search of white and black rhino, traverse the length of the breathtaking Hartmann’s Valley by quad bike or Land Rover, barter with Himba nomads in the high desert, or go croc spotting on the remote Kunene River, with the mountains of Angola soaring in the distance – Namibia is a wonderland, and Wilderness covers the bases with a fantastic collection of camps, perfectly.

The Bigger Picture

Seven nights in Namibia allows for some fantastic circuits. You will definitely want to spend at least one night in the Sossusvlei area, so you can experience the world’s tallest dunes. Beyond that – Wilderness has amazing camps and lodges to layer in. The game viewing in Etosha is strong, so a wildlife safari is a possibility, but, perhaps even more compelling are Wilderness’ camps in Northern Namibia, where you can track desert adapted elephant and rhino, interact with one of the continents last traditional nomadic tribes, and soak up the sublime beauty of the high desert.

You can get to Windhoek from either Johannesburg, Muan (Botswana), or Cape Town, making Namibia a very easy gem to add into a broader Southern Africa itinerary.
